COSMOS - Submittal Creation Tool
Intended Audience: Project Administrators, Project Engineers. Summary: This software tool enables the operator to produce a single PDF file that contains the required documents of a complete Project Submittal, based on the Material Lists created in PLM. The documents will be custom arranged and are automatically converted from their native format (Word, Excel, PDF, Visio, AutoCAD, etc) to the PDF format. The various documents that can be included in the Project Submittal are listed below: Title Page and Automated Creation of Table of Content * Default or Custom Title page with mail merge option. * Hyperlinked Page Numbering, Hyperlinked Bookmarks, Hyperlinked Index Contents. * Fully Editable "Chapter Headings". Submittal Description A project description and/or terms and conditions. System Schematics Schematics, Sequence of Operations, Wiring Details, Panel Details, DDC source code, graphics layouts, Installation Guide, etc. Bill of Materials A default BOM is automatically created or your own custom BOM ('MS WORD' Doc, etc) can be included. Schedules Valve, Damper and Point Schedules can be automatically created and included. Your own custom schedules can also be added. Data Sheets The PDF data sheets can be custom arranged, sorted, filtered and an automated PDF sub-Index with Hyperlinks can be created and made part of the Full Project Submittal. Optionally, a "Mini Submittal" including the PDF sub-Index, can be created as a standalone package. Master Project Drawing Used where a single Visio, CAD or PDF file that includes all of the project schematics needs to be included. Custom Files This is an opportunity to include any additional files that are required for the submittal. Default and Project settings Your preferred Submittal configuration can be saved and stored. Therefore, an entire office can be setup to consistently create submittals using a pre-arranged format. Final Output A single PDF file is produced which can then be printed, emailed or distributed electronically. Samples: The software is extremely flexible.
